Your Family Deserves the Best Protection Possible
Whether you're leaving for work or for the weekend, closing the door for the afternoon, or turning out the lights to go to sleep, there's really no substitute for knowing your family and all you've worked for are secure. That's the feeling you get when your home is protected by Ron Duckson Security Systems.
Family Friendly
The heart of a security key is the keypad. Located near the door, it allows you to quickly operate your system. The pads Ron Duckson Security Systems uses are attractive and easy-to-use. Backlit keys help you find the keypad even in the dark.
"Ready" and "Armed" LEDs give you a clear indication of whether the system is armed or disarmed. Three emergency buttons, if activated, allow you to immediately summon the police, the fire department, or an ambulance without dialing the phone -- even when the system is disarmed.
Most importantly, the design and operation are so simple every member of the family can use it. We can program the keypad to provide multiple user codes, including special temporary codes, so you can provide temporary access to visiting relatives or periodic access to cleaning personnel.
Carbon Monoxide Alarm
Carbon Monoxide is the leading cause of poisoning deaths in North America. Known by the chemical symbol CO, it is an odorless, colorless gas. CO can strike quickly or build up slowly. Prolonged exposures to low levels can be dangerous.
With a CO alarm that's part of your security system, your safety is monitored day and night. Your monitoring station can automatically send emergency help in the event of an unsafe condition in your home, giving you added peace of mind.
Ron Duckson Security Systems can install sensors that provide superior gas detection that specifically targets CO and ignores other airborne substances and environmental variations.
Why is CO so deadly? CO causes oxygen loss in the blood stream and prevents the flow of oxygen to the heart, brain, and other vital organs. While many victims are aware they are not well, they often become so disoriented that they are unable to help themselves by either exiting the home or calling for assistance. Exposure during sleep is particularly dangerous as the victim may not awaken.
What are the most common sources of CO?
CO is produced when any type of fossil fuel is incompletely burned or exposed to heat. If fuel-burning appliances in your home malfunction or are not properly ventilated, CO can build up and cause a hazardous condition. The danger is even greater in weather-tight modern homes.
Smoke Detector
Should a fire break out while no one is at home, it would take a long time before anyone outside would see that there is a fire. It takes a tremendous amount of heat to break a window, allowing smoke to escape and making the fire visible from the outside. By that time, your home and everything you’ve worked so hard for could be gone.
With monitored smoke detection, the fire can be identified in its very early stages – often before you would know there is a problem. The fire department may have a chance to arrive at your home before your property and valuables are completely lost, and most importantly, before anyone gets hurt.
Passive Infrared Detector
A Passive Infrared Detector operates by detecting the change in energy that occurs when a body of one temperature passes by a background of another temperature within the detector's field of view. Special signal processing techniques enable the detector to determine whether a signal is caused by a person, or by some other false alarm source. Interchangeable optics allow the protection area to be customized to meet the needs of the specific application.
Pet Immune Detectors
Through a combination of specially designed optics and signal processing, these pet immune detectors can distinguish between people and animals. They can be installed in applications that include a dog up to 100 pounds or cats up to 10 pounds, without the nuisance of false alarms.
